Terms of Use

1. The service

Papering is a binder app for writing and drawing with Apple Pencil on iPad. No separate account or sign-in is required. These terms cover the app and website. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.

Use of the App Store app is also subject to the Apple Standard EULA and applicable Apple service terms. These terms do not limit statutory consumer rights.

2. Launch notifications

The website waitlist requests an email when Papering launches. Joining is free and creates no obligation to buy or pay. The release date, prices, and features will be announced when confirmed. Joining alone does not guarantee particular benefits or purchase entitlements.

3. Free use and in-app purchases

The Softcover Plan is free. The Hardcover Plan and some stationery products are available through App Store in-app purchases. These are separate one-time purchases, not automatically renewing subscriptions.

Prices, taxes, features, and included content follow the conditions shown in the app and App Store payment screen at purchase. Buying the Hardcover Plan does not include every separately sold stationery product.

4. Restoring purchases and refunds

Apple processes payments. Valid purchases under the same Apple Account can be checked using Restore Purchases in the app. Family Sharing availability depends on the product.

You may request a refund through Apple’s Report a Problem page, subject to applicable law and Apple's review and processing. Refunded or revoked purchases may lose their paid entitlements. Statutory cancellation and consumer rights remain in effect.

5. Your content

You retain the rights to handwriting, drawings, and other work you create. You must have permission to use photos, PDFs, and other materials you import. Page contents are not sent to a Papering server. iCloud sync and exports you choose are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Storage and backups

iCloud sync keeps current state aligned, including changes and deletions. It does not replace backups of earlier versions. Keep important work separately using Vault copies and PDF or backup exports.

Device and iCloud storage, network conditions, and external storage settings may affect saving, sync, and restoration.

7. Rights in the app and provided content

The app, provided inserts, stickers, and design elements belong to their creator or respective rights holder. You may use them within the app's features and your purchases, but may not extract resources for separate resale or redistribution.

Unauthorized copying or redistribution, bypassing protection measures, and unlawful use are prohibited. This does not restrict activities permitted by applicable law or open-source licenses.

8. Changes and service operation

Features and content may change for quality or operational reasons. Changes that materially affect purchased features, or discontinuation of the service, will be announced in advance in the app or on the website. Any necessary remedies will follow applicable law.

9. Warranties and liability

We work to provide a reliable service and resolve errors, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation in every environment.

Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent allowed by law. It does not exclude liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or restrict consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

10. Changes to terms and disputes

When terms change, we post the changes, reasons, and effective date here. Material changes will be announced in advance in the app or on the website. Changes requiring consent follow applicable law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without removing mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Disputes follow the procedures required by applicable law.
