Can I use Papering on Mac?

Yes. On a Mac with Apple silicon, you can read your binders, type with a keyboard, and add photos and stickers. Handwriting is available on iPad.

Can I write with my finger?

Yes. Show the tool palette and enable Draw with Finger in its menu to write with one finger. Place two fingers on the paper together and swipe horizontally to turn pages, or pinch to zoom. While zoomed in, drag with two fingers to pan; zoom back out before turning pages. If you hide the palette, show it again with the pen-tools button to resume writing. If Only Draw with Apple Pencil is enabled in iPad Settings → Apple Pencil, use Pencil to write and one finger to turn pages.

Can I type with a keyboard?

Yes, from version 1.10. Choose Add Text in the top toolbar of a binder, then tap the text on the paper to open the keyboard. Use the onscreen or a connected keyboard. Change the font, color, size, alignment, and line spacing, or move and tilt the text. Typed text supports search and iCloud sync. Index tab names can also be handwritten or typed.

Does my work sync across devices?

With iCloud enabled for Papering, binders, handwriting, photos, and PDFs sync between iPad and Mac using the same iCloud account. Check sync status in the app settings.

Can I make my own inserts?

Yes. Import your own PDF or image as an insert design, or import PDF pages into a binder. You can also choose from the inserts in the stationery drawer.

I want to delete my data.

Binders and sheets move to Trash first, where you can permanently delete them. Deleting the app alone may leave an iCloud copy, which you can manage separately in your iCloud settings. Manage Vault copies and exported backups separately, too.

How do I restore a purchase?

Sign in with the Apple Account you used to buy it, then choose Restore Purchases in the app settings. Pro and paid stationery products are one-time purchases. See the Terms of Use for refund requests.
